Show steps for
Open a post’s insights
Open a post’s insights in the app
- Find your post, on your profile or in a feed.
- Under it, tap Analytics. It sits beside Boost, and only you can see the two.
- Pick Yesterday, 7 days or All time at the top.
- Tap See full insights for the full screen.
You can also go to Settings → Insights → Content and tap the post.
Open a post’s insights on the website
- Click Analytics under your own post. Post insights opens with its main numbers.
- For everything, click See full insights.
You can also click your profile picture at the bottom of the menu, then Analytics, then Content, and click the post.
What the sheet shows
- Views: times the post was shown. Under it are the plays for a video, or the opens for a photo or a text post.
- Reach. On All time, the line under it says how much came from outside your feed.
- Reactions, with the comments and shares under it.
- Saves, counted right now on the post, whichever period you picked.
- Reach by day and Where views came from.
What the full screen adds
Reached beside Shown, where the post was seen, what people did, and where they are. A video also shows how long people watched, with completion and the median stop.
Where people are stays hidden until the post has reached 50 people, so a handful of viewers can’t be picked out.
Good to know
- You can only see insights for your own posts.
- Yesterday and 7 days come from last night’s calculation, so a post from today shows Not calculated yet there. All time is live, so try that one.
- Your own views and opens are never counted.
