Go to Settings → Language and tap the other language. Ayyam comes in English and Arabic, and the app restarts to switch between them.

Change the language in the app
- On Home, tap your profile picture at the top to open Settings.
- Under Preferences, tap Language.
- Under OTHER, tap English or العربية.
The app closes and opens again in the new language. Arabic reads right to left, so the whole layout flips round.
Change the language on the website
- Open Settings on ayyam.com and click Appearance.
- Under Language, click English or العربية in Other languages.
The page changes straight away. A few parts of the website are still in English while they’re being translated.
What changes
- Every button, menu and message in the app.
- Notifications on this phone, which arrive in the new language.
- Posts, captions and comments don’t change. They stay in the language they were written in.
Good to know
- The first time you open the app, it’s in Arabic if your phone is set to Arabic, and in English otherwise. Under OTHER, Device marks your phone’s own language.
- The choice is kept on this phone, or in this browser on the website. Another phone or browser keeps its own.
