Go to Settings → Notifications, switch on Pause all, and choose how long. Your phone makes no sound and shows no banners until the pause ends. Notifications still collect in your list.
Pause notifications
- On Home, tap your profile picture at the top to open Settings, then tap Notifications.
- Switch on Pause all.
- Pick For 1 hour, For 8 hours, For 24 hours or Until I turn it back on.
Under the switch it then says when the pause ends, like Paused until 18:30.
While notifications are paused
- Nothing makes a sound or shows a banner, messages included.
- Notifications still go into your list, and the number on the app icon still goes up.
- When the pause ends, the ones you missed aren’t sent all at once. They’re waiting in your list.
- The pause is for your account, so every phone you’re signed in on goes quiet.
End it early
Switch Pause all off. The pause ends straight away.
The website has no pause. To keep your phone quiet at the same time every day, set quiet hours instead.
