Making a request

Send requests to legal@ayyam.com from an official email address. Include:

  • the authority making the request, and a contact person
  • the legal basis, such as a court order or a decision of the Public Prosecution
  • the account’s username or a link to it, or the links to the posts concerned
  • the information you need, and the period it covers

We answer requests that follow Egyptian law. We may ask for more detail, or decline a request that’s too broad or has no legal basis. Unless the law or the request forbids it, we may tell the account’s owner that we received a request about them.

What we can provide

What we hold is described in our privacy policy. Deleted accounts and content may no longer be available.

Keeping information while you get an order

We can keep an account’s information for a set time while you obtain the legal order. Send the request to the same address.

Emergencies

If a child is in danger, or someone’s life is at immediate risk, write “EMERGENCY” in the email’s subject and explain the danger. We read these first.
