Yes, on iPhone and on the website. The iPhone app has a Google and an Apple button, and ayyam.com has Google. The Android app has neither, so sign up there with an email address or phone number. The same button creates your account the first time and signs you in after that.

Show steps for

Sign up with Google or Apple

Use Google or Apple in the iPhone app

  1. On the sign-in screen, under Or Continue with, tap Google or Apple.
  2. Choose your account in the window that opens and confirm.

The first time, your account is made and Home opens.

Use Google on the website

  1. Go to ayyam.com and click Create account.
  2. Click the Google button and choose your Google account.
  3. Pick at least 3 topics to follow, or click Skip for now.

There’s no Apple button on the website.

Which account you get

  • If you’ve used this Google or Apple account with Ayyam before, you go straight into the same account.
  • If an Ayyam account already has the same email address, you’re signed in to that account. Nothing new is made.
  • Otherwise you get a new account with the name from Google or Apple. Its username is made from that name, and you can change it in Edit profile.

Tip: The first time you use Apple, it asks whether to share your email address or hide it. If you hide it, Apple sends us a different address, and we can’t match it to an account you made with your real one. Share it if you already have an Ayyam account.

Good to know

  • An account made with Google or Apple has no password. If it uses your real email address, you can give it one with Forgot Password? on the sign-in screen. Then you can also sign in with your email, on Android for example. See I forgot my password.
  • Two-factor authentication still applies. After Google or Apple, you’ll be asked for the code from your authenticator app.
