You reset a forgotten password with a 6-digit code. Enter your email address and the code comes by email. Enter your phone number and it comes on WhatsApp. We never send it to the other one, so enter whichever you can open right now.

Reset your password
Reset your password in the app
- On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot Password?
- Enter your email address or phone number and tap Send code. For a phone number, check the country shown at the start of the field.
- Enter the 6-digit code from the email or the WhatsApp message.
- Type your new password in New password, and again in Confirm password. It needs at least 8 characters.
- Tap Reset password. When you see Password updated, tap Go to sign in.
To fix a typo in the address or number after sending, tap it above the code boxes.
Reset your password on the website
- On the sign-in page at ayyam.com, click Forgot password?
- Enter your email address and click Send reset code.
- Enter the 6-digit code and your new password, then click Set new password.
The website resets by email only. If your account only has a phone number, reset your password in the app.
What a reset changes
- Every device signed in to your account is signed out. Sign in again with the new password.
- If sign-in was paused with Too many attempts, the pause ends straight away.
- If the code came by email, that email address now counts as confirmed.
- If your account has an email address, we send a message there saying your password changed.
- Two-factor authentication stays on. You’ll still need your authenticator app to sign in.
Good to know
- A code works for 10 minutes. Asking for another one replaces it, so always use the newest.
- You can ask for a new code once a minute, and up to 5 times an hour.
- The screen says a code is on its way even when no account matches what you typed. That stops anyone using it to find out who has an Ayyam account. If nothing arrives, your account may be under your other email or number. See I didn’t get my code.
- If you used Ayyam before the new app, this is also how you get back in. See I used Ayyam before. How do I get back into my account?
Tip: If you still know your password and only want a new one, change it in Settings → Security → Password instead. That keeps your phone signed in and signs out your other devices.
