Your cover photo sits across the top of your profile, behind your picture and your name. You don’t have to have one. Without it, the top of your profile glows softly in the colours of your profile picture.

Add or change your cover photo in the app
- On Home, tap your profile picture at the top left, then tap Edit profile.
- Tap Cover photo. It says Add if you don’t have one yet.
- If you already have a cover, tap Change cover.
- Tap a photo from your uploads, or tap Upload to add one from your phone.
To take your cover off, tap Cover photo and then Remove cover.
Add or change your cover photo on the website
- On ayyam.com, open your profile.
- Click Add cover photo in the corner of the cover, or Change cover if you have one.
- Click Upload a new photo and choose one from your computer, or Choose from your uploads and click one. A new one has to be a JPEG, PNG or WebP.
- Under Position your cover, drag the photo and use the slider to zoom, then click Save cover.
To take your cover off, click Change cover, then Remove cover. You can also click the cover or drag a photo onto it in Settings → Profile.
How it’s shown
The website shows a wide strip, three times as wide as it is tall, and you choose that strip before the cover is saved. The app doesn’t crop it. It shows a taller piece from the middle that fades into the page at the bottom, so keep what matters near the middle of the photo.
- It has to be a photo, not a video.
- Everyone can see it, even when your account is private.
- We remove the location from a photo’s details when you upload it.
