Your profile picture comes from your uploads, the photos you’ve already put on Ayyam. Pick one of those or upload a new one from your phone, then choose which part of it sits in the circle.

Change your profile picture
Change your profile picture in the app
- On Home, tap your profile picture at the top left, then tap Edit profile.
- Tap Photo. If you already have one, tap Change photo. Your uploads open.
- Tap the photo you want. For a new one, tap Upload at the top, choose it on your phone, and tap it when it appears.
- Drag the photo and pinch to zoom until the part you want is in the circle, then tap Done.
It takes a few seconds to show. You can also open your own profile, tap your picture and tap Edit image.
Change your profile picture on the website
- On ayyam.com, open your profile.
- Click the camera button on your picture.
- Click Upload a new photo and choose one from your computer, or Choose from your uploads and click one.
The website uses the middle of the photo, so a square one works best. It has to be a JPEG, PNG or WebP. In Settings → Profile, clicking your picture opens the same choice, and you can drag a photo onto it.
Remove your profile picture

- On Home, tap your profile picture at the top left, then tap Edit profile.
- Tap Photo, then Remove current photo.
Remove your profile picture on the website
- On ayyam.com, open your profile.
- Click the camera button on your picture, then Remove current photo. Photo removed tells you it worked.
Without a picture, your profile shows the first letter of your name, everywhere at once.
Good to know
- It has to be a photo. A video can’t be a profile picture.
- A photo you upload from here is kept in your Uploads too, like anything else you upload.
- We remove the location from a photo’s details when you upload it, so your picture doesn’t show where it was taken.
- Everyone can see your picture, even when your account is private.
