A blue tick after someone’s name means Ayyam has marked their account as verified. Ayyam marks well-known people and brands so others know the account is really theirs. You can’t add the tick yourself, and there’s no way to ask for one in the app today.
Where the tick shows
- After the name on their profile, and next to their username in the bar at the top once you scroll.
- Next to their name on their posts.
- In search results.
- In About this account, as Verified and Yes.
On the website, the tick shows after the name on a profile only.
What it changes
When two accounts match a search equally well, the verified one comes first.
