Following shows posts from the people you follow, and nobody else. For you mixes those with posts picked for you: from people you don’t follow, about topics you like, and what’s popular. Switch between them at the top of Home.

Following

  • Posts and reposts from people you follow. Never a stranger’s post.
  • It isn’t newest first. The people you interact with most come first.
  • Hashtags and topics you follow don’t appear here. They go to For you.

For you

  • Posts from people you follow, mixed with posts from people you don’t.
  • What’s picked depends on what you watch and react to, and on the hashtags and topics you follow.
  • Only public posts reach you from people you don’t follow.
  • Cards suggesting topics and hashtags to follow appear between posts.

How does Ayyam choose what I see in For you?

In both

  • A post you’ve already scrolled past doesn’t come back. Pull down at the top for more.
  • People you’ve blocked or muted, and posts you’ve hidden, never show.
  • Videos, the second tab, has the same two feeds, with videos only.

On ayyam.com, Home has For you and Following too, and they work the same way.
