Tap ⋯ on the post. The Why am I seeing this? row says, under its name, what put the post in your feed. Tap the row to read it in full.
What the reason means
| It says | What it means |
|---|---|
| From an account you follow | You follow the person who posted it. |
| From an account you often watch | You don’t follow them, but you watch their posts a lot. |
| Because you’re interested in and a topic | It’s about something you’ve shown interest in. |
| Matches your interests | It matches what you’re into, without one topic standing out. |
| Popular right now | Lots of people are watching and reacting to it. |
| A new post, or A new post about and a topic | It’s new, and Ayyam is giving it a chance to be seen. |
| Something new to discover | It’s outside your usual interests, to keep your feed varied. |
A post usually has more than one reason to be there. The row names the one that counted most.
When there’s no reason
Some posts have no Why am I seeing this? row. Ayyam only shows a reason it’s sure of, and leaves the row out otherwise. Your own posts don’t have one either.
Not what you want?
The same menu has Not interested, or Show less of a topic, or Show less from a person.
How do I see fewer posts like this?
