Open Your interests in the app. Turn the subjects Ayyam has learned about you up or down, add topics it hasn’t picked up yet, and tap Save. For you keeps learning from what you watch and react to, and your choices stay on top of that until you change them.
Open Your interests
- On Home, tap your profile picture at the top to open Settings.
- Under Preferences, tap Wellbeing.
- Under Your feed, tap Your interests.
At the top, Your For you mix shows what your feed is made of, such as Mostly Sport and Food.
Turn an interest up or down
What you’re into lists the subjects Ayyam has learned about you, strongest first, each scored out of 10.
- Tap + to see more of one, or − to see less.
- Tap Save at the top.
The bar shows your hand on it: blue for points you added, a red outline for points you took away. A number like +2 or −3 sits beside the name.
Take a subject down to 0 and it says Not interested. Its posts then stop showing up in For you. Tap + to bring it back.
Add a topic
- Under Discover topics, pick a category, then tap a topic.
- Tap Save.
An added topic starts at 5 out of 10 and says Added by you. Turn it up or down like the rest, or tap it again in Discover topics to take it out. Tapping a topic Ayyam had already learned marks it Not interested instead.
After you save
You’ll see Saved. Your For you feed is updating. For you then loads again with your changes, on Home and in Videos. Following doesn’t change.
Leave the screen without saving and the app asks whether to save your changes first.
Your interests belong to your account, so they shape For you on ayyam.com too. You can only change them in the app.
Tip: Following a topic or hashtag also gives its posts a place in your feed. Your follows are listed at the bottom of Your interests, under Hashtags and topics you follow. Tap one and then Save to unfollow it.
