Your own photos and videos can be saved from Uploads: open one and tap Save to phone. It goes into your phone’s Photos or Gallery app.
Save one of your uploads
- Open Settings and tap Uploads, under Content.
- Tap the photo or video.
- Tap Save to phone.
The app says Saving to your phone… and then Saved to your phone.
The first time, your phone asks whether Ayyam may add to your photos. If you said no, the app says Allow Ayyam to add to your photos in Settings, then try again. Turn it on in your phone’s settings, under Ayyam.
When Save to phone isn’t there
- It’s still processing, its upload failed, or it’s in review.
- The video is smaller than HD, under 720 pixels on its shorter side. Ayyam doesn’t keep a copy of those that can be saved.
Save a photo from a chat
- In the chat, tap the photo to open it.
- Tap Save at the bottom.
This works for photos the other person sent too.
Other people’s posts
There’s no way to save someone else’s post to your phone. Save it in Ayyam with the bookmark instead, and it stays in your Saved.
The website can’t save photos or videos to your computer.
