Your drafts are in Settings → Content → Drafts, on the phone where you made them. Each one is kept for 30 days after the last time you changed it, and then it’s deleted by itself.

Find your drafts

Drafts in the app

  1. On Home, tap your profile picture at the top to open Settings.
  2. Under Content, tap Drafts.

The line at the top says how many you have, like 3 drafts · kept on this device for 30 days. Tap a draft to carry on where you left off, with your edits.

Drafts on the website

Open Settings and click Content. Drafts saved on the website are listed there, in that browser.

Why a draft can go missing

  • It’s on another phone. Drafts are kept on the phone, not on your account. A phone you didn’t make it on can’t see it, and neither can the website.
  • You’re signed in to another account. Each account on a phone sees only its own drafts. Sign back in to the account you made it on.
  • It’s more than 30 days old. The 30 days start again each time you change the draft.
  • You deleted the app. Its drafts go with it. On the website, clearing the browser’s data does the same.
  • You posted it. A draft leaves the list once its post is shared. While a post is still going up it’s hidden, and if the post fails, it comes back.

Scheduled posts aren’t drafts. They’re in Settings → Content → Scheduled.

Note: Signing out doesn’t delete drafts. They’re still there when you sign back in, and anyone else who signs in on the same phone can’t see them.

Delete a draft

In Drafts, tap Edit, then Delete next to the draft.
