When a post or an account breaks the rules, a person on our team decides what to do about it. We can remove a post or limit who sees it. For the most serious rules, or when someone keeps breaking them, we ban the account.
How we find them
Most of what we review comes from your reports. We also check some photos and videos automatically after they’re posted, and a person on our team decides what happens to anything that gets flagged.
For some kinds of report, when enough people report the same post, comment or story, we hide it until someone on our team has looked at it.
What we can do
- Remove the post, comment or story.
- Mark a post as sensitive, or keep it out of Explore and For you without removing it.
- Refuse or stop a boost.
- Hold or cancel earnings that came from fake views.
- Ban the account. A banned account can’t sign in, and its posts disappear from Ayyam.
When we ban an account
- At once, for sexual content involving children, terrorism, blackmail, and selling drugs or weapons.
- When someone keeps breaking the other rules.
- When someone opens a new account after we’ve banned theirs.
Reporting to the authorities
When a child is at risk, when someone’s life is in danger, or when the law requires it, we report to the authorities and keep the content they may need.
If you think we got it wrong
Ask us to look again through Contact us. Tell us what was removed and why you think it doesn’t break the rules. If we made a mistake, we put it back.
