Open their profile, tap ⋯ at the top, then Block with their name, and tap Block again to confirm. You both stop following each other, they can’t find your profile, and neither of you can message the other. They aren’t told.

Block someone in the app
- Open their profile.
- Tap ⋯ at the top.
- Tap Block with their name.
- Tap Block to confirm.
The app says Blocked and their name. Their profile now says You blocked and their username, with an Unblock button.
Block someone on the website
- Open their profile and click ⋯, or click ⋯ on one of their posts.
- Click Block with their name.
- The website asks Block and their name first. Click Block.
It says Blocked and their name, and their profile shows Unblock.
Block someone from a chat
Open the chat and tap their name at the top. More options opens. Tap Block with their name, and the app asks which kind you want.
- Block messages only stops their messages and nothing else.
- Block account is the full block, the same as from the profile.
Good to know
- If they’re breaking the rules, report them as well. You can still report an account after you’ve blocked it.
