You and the person you block disappear from each other on Ayyam. You both stop following each other, neither of you sees the other’s posts or stories, and neither of you can message the other. They aren’t told.
What they see
- Opening your profile shows Profile unavailable, the same as for an account that doesn’t exist. You don’t show up when they search.
- Your posts, stories and reposts are gone for them everywhere: feeds, Explore, search, and links to your posts.
- They can’t comment on your posts or react to them, and they can’t tag or mention you.
- Messages they send you don’t arrive.
What you see
- Their profile still opens for you. It says You blocked and their username, with an Unblock button. They still show up when you search, so you can find them later to unblock.
- Their posts and stories leave your feeds and your search results.
- Their notifications stop, and the ones already in your list go away.
- You can’t message them either.
What else changes
- Any follow between you ends, both ways, and so does a follow request that was waiting.
- They’re taken out of all your circles, and you out of theirs.
- Neither of you sees the other’s activity status.
Their comments
- Comments and replies they wrote on your posts before the block are hidden from everyone, including people who aren’t signed in.
- Under anyone else’s post, you don’t see their comments, and they don’t see yours.
- Nothing is deleted. Unblock them and the comments come back.
- The number of comments under a post still counts the hidden ones.
What doesn’t change
