Send report stays faded and does nothing until you pick a reason, so start there. If you picked one and the report still didn’t go, the message the app showed tells you why.
What the message means
| Message | What it means |
|---|---|
| You cannot report your own content. | It’s your own post, comment or story. Delete it if you want it gone. |
| That content is no longer available. | It was deleted or taken down before your report went. There’s nothing left to report. |
| You have reached today’s reporting limit. | You can send 20 reports a day. The count starts again at midnight UTC. |
| You already reported this. | Not a failure. Your first report counts, and there’s nothing more to do. |
| Something went wrong | Usually the connection. Check it and try again. |
When there’s no Report button
- Your own posts, comments and stories have none.
- The website can’t report chat messages yet. Use the app.
- On the website, you have to be signed in.
