Go to Settings → Privacy and switch Filter Sensitive Content on or off. It’s on until you turn it off. While it’s on, a post marked as sensitive shows behind a warning, and you tap Show to see it.

Turn the filter on or off in the app

  1. On Home, tap your profile picture at the top to open Settings, then tap Privacy.
  2. Under Interactions, switch Filter Sensitive Content on or off.

Turn the filter on or off on the website

Open Settings on ayyam.com, click Privacy, and switch Filter sensitive content on or off.

The setting belongs to your account, so it’s the same on every phone and on the website.

What the filter does

  • On: the post’s photos and videos are covered by Sensitive content and a line saying what it may contain, such as violence or weapons. Tap Show to see it.
  • Off: sensitive posts show like any other.

Nothing is removed either way: the filter only covers sensitive posts with a warning you can tap past.

Your own posts never get a warning for you.

Which posts count as sensitive

  • Posts a moderator has marked. These also stay out of Explore and search for everyone, filter or not.
  • Posts their author marked when sharing them. On the website, click Next in the new post window and turn on Mark as sensitive under Interaction. The app doesn’t have this option yet.
