In Settings → Security, tap Email and type the new address. We send a 6-digit code to that address, and once you enter it the change is made. The new address is the one you sign in with from then on.

Change your email in the app

  1. On Home, tap your profile picture at the top to open Settings, then tap Security.
  2. Tap Email. The screen shows the address you have now.
  3. Type the address in New email address and your password in Your password, then tap Next.
  4. Enter the code we sent to the new address and tap Change email.

The app says Email changed and shows the new address. Tap Done.

Change your email on the website

  1. Open Settings on ayyam.com and click Security.
  2. Click Change email.
  3. Type the new address and your current password, then click Next.
  4. Enter the code we sent to the new address and click Change email.

No email on your account yet, because you joined with your phone number? The row says Not added, and the same steps add one.

If you signed up with Google or Apple

Your account has no password, so we check it’s you another way. After you type the new address and tap Next, a code goes to your current address first. Enter it, and then a second code goes to the new one.

What happens next

  • Every other device is signed out. The one you used stays signed in.
  • We email your old address to say the change was made. That message shows only part of the new address.
  • Your old address stops working for signing in and for resetting your password.

If the code doesn’t come

  • Codes last 10 minutes. Check your spam folder.
  • Tap Send a new code to get another one. Wait a minute between codes.
  • Check the address for a typo. Use a different address takes you back to fix it.
  • If the address already belongs to another Ayyam account, no code is sent to it. Use a different address.

After 5 wrong codes, that code stops working, and you need a new one.
