With One device at a time on, your account can only be signed in in one place. Every time you, or anyone, signs in on a new phone or browser, every other device is signed out.

It doesn’t stop the new sign-in. It’s the old ones that end.

Show steps for

Turn it on or off

In the app

In Settings → Security, turn on One device at a time.

On the website

Open Settings on ayyam.com, click Security, and turn on One device at a time.

It’s off unless you turn it on, and it’s the same setting in the app and on the website.

What happens with it on

  • Turning it on signs nobody out. It starts working at the next sign-in. To sign everything else out now, tap Sign out everywhere on the same screen.
  • Each new sign-in ends the others within seconds, whichever way you sign in: password, code, Google or Apple.
  • Notifications only reach the device that’s signed in.
  • When you sign in on a computer by scanning the website’s code with your phone, the phone is signed out once you approve. The app warns you first: “One device at a time” is on, so this phone will be signed out.

Is it right for you?

It suits you if you only ever use Ayyam on one phone, and you’d like to know at once if someone else signs in. If they do, you’re signed out.

If you use Ayyam on a phone and on a computer, you’ll keep signing yourself out. Keep it off and check Where you’re logged in now and then instead.

Note: If you’re suddenly signed out and didn’t sign in anywhere else, someone may have your password. Sign back in and change your password straight away.
