Tap Draft at the top of New post. The post is kept on this phone, and you’ll find it in Settings → Drafts. The app also keeps a draft by itself when you leave a post half done.

Save a draft
Save a draft in the app
- On New post, tap Draft at the top.
- You’re taken back to Home, and the app says Draft saved.
To carry on, go to Settings → Drafts and tap the draft. It opens where you left off, edits and all.
Save a draft on the website
- In the new post window, click Save draft.
- The website says Saved to drafts — find it in Settings → Content.
Kept for you
If you leave New post, switch to another app or get a call, the app saves what you’d done as a draft. It only does this once there’s something worth keeping: a photo plus a caption, a tag, a place, alt text or an edit.
How long drafts last
- 30 days from the last change, on the phone where you made them.
- They aren’t on your account, so another phone or the website can’t see them. Drafts made on the website stay in that browser for 30 days.
- Deleting the app deletes its drafts. On the website, clearing the browser’s data does the same.
In the Drafts list
- Each draft says what it still needs: needs media, needs caption, needs alt text or ready to post.
- To delete one, tap Edit, then Delete next to the draft.
