Tap FILTER in the editor and pick one from the row under the photo. Each tile shows your own photo with that filter on, so you can see the result before you choose. STRENGTH sets how strong it is.
Add a filter to a photo
- Pick one photo and tap Next, or tap a photo’s thumbnail on New post.
- Tap FILTER at the bottom.
- Tap Aurora, Ember, Fade or Noir.
- Drag STRENGTH to set how strong it is. It starts at 100, the full filter.
- Tap Done.
While you’re on this tab, the filter’s name and strength show in the corner of the photo. To take the filter off, tap Original.
Add a filter to a video
- Pick one video and tap Next. It opens on Trim.
- Tap Filter in the row of tools.
- Pick a filter and set STRENGTH, then tap Done to go back to Trim.
The filter covers the whole video.
Good to know
- In a post with several photos, each photo has its own filter. Open each one to change it.
- For finer changes, like brightness or warmth, use ADJUST. You can use it and a filter together.
- The website can’t add filters. It posts photos and videos as they are.
