Pick a speed on Clip settings, under SPEED: 0.5× plays the video at half speed, 3× three times as fast. The preview keeps playing at normal speed while you edit. The new speed is applied when you post.
Change the speed
- Open the video in the editor. It opens on Trim.
- Tap Next, or tap Speed in the row of tools. Clip settings opens.
- Under SPEED, tap 0.5×, 1×, 1.5×, 2× or 3×.
- Tap Next, then Done.
Next to SPEED you see how long the video is now and how long it will be at the new speed. A badge in the corner of the video shows the speed, and a line under the row reminds you that the preview isn’t sped up.
To go back to normal speed, tap 1×.
Good to know
- The video’s own sound speeds up or slows down with it. A sound you added from Ayyam’s sounds plays at its normal speed.
- Slowing down makes the video longer, and the 10-minute limit counts the new length. A 6-minute video at 0.5× plays for 12 minutes and won’t post.
- The website can’t change a video’s speed.
