What you can change in the app
| What | Good to know |
|---|---|
| The caption | Up to 2,200 characters. People you newly mention get a notification. |
| Audience | Everyone, Followers or Only me. A circle post can stay with its circle, but can’t move to another one. |
| Allow commenting | Switch it off to stop new comments. |
| Allow others to use this sound | Only on a video with its own sound |
What you can’t change
The photos and videos, the tags, the location, the alt text, and the profile grid switch. The app can’t change the switch for hiding counts either, but the website can. To change any of the others, delete the post and make it again.
Good to know
- While a post has an open boost, its caption and audience are locked. Cancel or stop the boost to change them.
