In the app, one post holds up to 10 photos and videos, and you can mix them. On the website it’s up to 20. People swipe through them in the order you picked them, and the first one is the cover.
The limits
| In the app | On the website | |
|---|---|---|
| Photos and videos in one post | 10 | 20 |
| One video | Up to 10 minutes | Up to 10 minutes |
| Recording with the camera in Ayyam | Up to 3 minutes | No camera on the website |
| One file | Up to 2 GB | Up to 2 GB |
| Caption | 2,200 characters | 2,200 characters |
The counter at the top of your photos shows how many you’ve picked, like 3 / 10. When it’s full, tapping another photo does nothing.
Adding and taking out
- On New post, tap ADD at the end of the row of thumbnails. Your photos open with the post’s picks still selected. Tap more to add them, or tap one to take it out.
- After you share, the photos and videos can’t be changed. Editing a post can’t add, remove or swap them.
Good to know
- The 10 minutes count what’s left after you trim. Slowing a video down makes it longer, and that counts too.
- A sound can go on a post of photos, or on a post with one video. It can’t go on a post that mixes photos and videos.
- The website doesn’t take HEIC photos. Save them as JPEG first.
