Once it’s uploaded, every photo and video is processed before the post goes up. A photo takes a few seconds and a video a minute or two, and a long video takes longer. You don’t need to wait on the screen. The post goes up on its own, even if you close the app.
What’s happening
- The card on Home says Posting… and Processing.
- A post with several photos and videos waits for the slowest one.
- After 15 minutes the card stops and says Still processing. It will be posted on its own when it’s ready. Tap OK. The post’s tile on your profile keeps showing how it’s doing.
Uploading isn’t processing
While the card says Uploading, your files are still leaving your phone, so you need a connection. If the app closes now, the post is kept in Settings → Drafts. Open it from there and share it again. Anything that had finished uploading isn’t sent twice.
If it doesn’t move
- Look at the post’s tile on your profile. Couldn’t post means a photo or video couldn’t be processed. Delete it and upload it again.
- In review means it’s waiting for a person to look at it.
- If it stays on Processing for a long time, tap the tile, delete the post, and make it again.
