Switch off Show on profile grid in Advanced settings before you share. The post then stays off the main grid of your profile, even when you look at it yourself. It’s still a normal post everywhere else: in feeds, and for anyone with its link.

Keep a post off your grid in the app
- On New post, tap Advanced settings.
- Under SHARING & REUSE, switch off Show on profile grid.
- Tap Done.
Keep a post off your grid on the website
- In the new post window, click Next.
- Under Interaction, switch off Show on profile grid.
- Click Post now.
What it changes
- The post isn’t in the first tab of your profile, the main grid of your posts.
- A video post still shows in the Videos tab of your profile.
- It still shows in feeds, on hashtag and place pages, and to anyone with its link.
- People can react, comment and share it as usual.
It can’t be changed once the post is shared.
To hide a post from everyone else
Change its audience to Only me. It stays on your profile, and only you see it.
