Post to a circle
Post to a circle in the app
- On New post, tap Audience.
- Tap Circle. Your circles open.
- Tap the circle you want. The Audience row now shows its name.
- Tap Share post.
To make a circle on the spot, tap New circle, type a name and tap Create. It starts empty, so add people to it in Settings → Circles before you post, or nobody will see the post.
Post to a circle on the website
- In the new post window, click Next.
- Under Who can see it, pick Circle.
- Click the circle you want under it, then click Post now.
The website can’t make circles. With none yet, it says You have no circles yet. Make one in the Ayyam app, under Settings → Circles.
What a circle is
- A named group of people who follow you, like family or friends from the gym.
- You can have up to 10 circles, with up to 500 people in each.
- Add and remove people in Settings → Circles.
Good to know
- If someone in the circle stops following you, they stop seeing its posts.
- You can only tag people who are in the circle.
- A circle post can’t go to your story. A story isn’t limited to a circle, so Story says Would go to all followers.
- If Audience says Choose a circle first, you picked Circle but no circle. Share post won’t work until you pick one.
- After posting, Edit can change the audience to Everyone, Followers or Only me, but not to a different circle.
